About this author

Diana's writing combines her active imagination with her love of history and research to create vibrant characters in sizzling tales that blend vintage vixens with haunting heroes.

Her first novel, Thorns of Eden, is a steamy and suspenseful tale set in the American Civil War during the Peninsula Campaign of 1862. Her second novel, Immortal Prey, is a tantalizing paranormal, historial romance spanning over three hundred years and a finalist in the Emerald City Opener contest.

My latest historical/paranormal romance, Immortal Prey, is getting great reviews! Check it out, and get your copy today. Makes a great gift, too!

Alycia You had me at steamy! LOL :) Yes, I did check out the book video and really liked it. I have fond memories as a child visiting historical sites all over the country. I still enjoy visiting as an adult. I have a sister-in-law in Virginia and enjoy visiting Civil War sites when I get a chance. I definitely understand the rich historical backdrop you have.

Hi Alycia,

I adore historical Southern romance novels. My favorites have always been Civil War romance. Years ago you could find them everywhere. Not so much these days. I grew up in Virginia with Civil War history all around me, so it was the natural setting for me when I wrote this story. I'm happy to say the book is getting great reviews. If you love a steamy historical romance with a hero that melts your butter, you'll really like Thorns of Eden. I still dream about the hero, Major Rayce Hampton, I created. Did you see the gorgeous video book trailer for the book? I just posted it on my Goodreads page the other day. Check it out. If you can't find it here, go to my webpage and click on "books". www.dianaballew.com And the gorgeous man in the video truly is the man on my book cover. Enjoy and thanks for contacting me! Diana

Alycia Thanks for the friendship Diana. I will definitely have to add your book to my to-read list. Looks good, love a southern civil war story!
