I'm an old tanker, and I love this book. Very down to earth from the gun-sight point of view, especially since I was in that exact same position while stationed in Germany back in the 80's.
Like almost all of Coyle's writing except some of his newer w

“We all stand before the judge at some point, and the way a man dies is no different than how he decides to live life. You just remember that when your time comes.”
Johnny Stone, Steam & Spurs

“In the end you will be broken and obey; the only question that remains is how much pain are you willing to endure before accepting the fact?”
Johnny Stone, Slave World

“I could almost taste the thick, mouth-watering fog of manly power that seeped from his pores, smothering me beneath it. Just being near him filled me with an overpowering sense of intimidation, excitement, and nervous surrender all rolled into one general package of an amazing turn-on. ”
Johnny Stone, The Devil's Dance

“If you don't stand for something you will fall for anything.”
Gordon A. Eadie
