I live near San Francisco where I focus on a career in fiction writing. This Shadow Follows Me book 2 will be out in 2016.

I have an extensive background in creative writing and social science. My first novel, This Shadow Follows Me, hit the shelves in 2011 where it was followed with immense controversy. I write to cause change and poignancy for readers. I want the reader to experience different realms of their own thoughts. I will change the world by my writings as I know we all change the world with each step we make.

Enjoy the adventure of your life our little monsters.

Book was amazing in the beginning and then totally lost me at the end. It got really boring towards the ending. I wish she would have focused more on how she overcame her self destruction.
Joseph McGinnis is on page 200 of 288 of Wildflower: I loved the beginning to the novel, then towards the end I got lost. She has such an amazing exciting lift, but once she grew up she got pretty boring like we all do. I love Drew to death. I wish she would have stayed more on her recovery and challenges with herself and how she overcame issues.

“Zombies are not just fictional creatures that devour the flesh of the living. They also include those who follow the words of others without thinking for themselves. This world is falling apart. I don’t think anyone can disagree with that. People live in their twenty-mile-radius realities and don’t notice the world happening around them, until it finally breaks down their front door.”
Joseph McGinnis, The Weathering, Dawn of the Apocalypse

“As the night air started to creep in, he lifted her in his arms and walked the back way to their home on campus. He spent the evening digging her grave, not even caring who came his way. He didn’t care whether he lived or died, now that he had lost his only love. Mike glanced into her face one more time, and then covered her with dirt. “We bury our own. We take care of the ones we love.” He spoke softly, then placed a flower on her grave and made his way back to their dorm room.”
Joseph McGinnis, The Weathering, Dawn of the Apocalypse

“A couple hours went by, and the storm began to turn back to the sea. The dark clouds rolled away, leaving white, fluffy ones in their place. We were safe, and the rock in the distance was still there. We stepped out of the car and walked over to the rock, noticing the families of seals were back again. The seals were strong and ready to make it through any storm that would fall their way. My parents’ love was still there; that is what love means. I envy that love, and I hoped to find it someday... and I did.”
Joseph McGinnis, This Shadow Follows Me

“It's not my victory, it's yours and yours and yours. If a gay can win, it means there is hope that the system can work for all minorities if we fight. We've given them hope.”
Harvey Milk

“Lots of people hate gay people.
You can tell who they are because they start sentences with, "It's not like I hate gay people.”
Ali Liebegott

“I was like, Am I gay? Am I straight? And I realized...I'm just slutty. Where's my parade?”
Margaret Cho

“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.”

Joseph McGinnis Very cool. I was reading your profile. Reading is amazing. I do have an 80 page rule however. If I can't get into the book by page 80 I put it down. Christine wrote: "Your welcome and I'm a teacher's helper and i love reading books"

David I am a member of a gay book discussion group in New York City. In our meeting tonight we discussed "Cry To Heaven" by Anne Rice. Everybody who attended liked the book. If you send me a copy, and I like your book, I will recommend it for the group to read it.
