Heather Marie Adkins loves magick and words, but not necessarily in that order. She can often be found wrangling chickens in her backyard, pulling weeds from her herb garden, and saving field mice from her cats—when she isn’t plotting her eventual move to Ireland.

Heather is the author of numerous published titles including The Temple and Abigail. She lives in north-central Kentucky with a house full of animals and the love of her life—all of whom drive her crazy. Learn more about her at her website, heathermarieadkins.com.

Haunted by Magic Diaries:
Real life unexplainable events from the authors.

“It was a dark and stormy night. No, really. I was staying in an old, old college-turned-convention-center for a book convention. And of course, no old college is complete without plenty of ghost tales. I was walking across campus to my dorm/hotel room to sleep. The light above me...

“To live your life afraid of others and deny them a chance to come close is to not live at all.”
Heather Marie Adkins

“I mean, we're all going to die. We know that on an intellectual level. We figure it out when we're still fairly young, and it scares us so badly that we convince ourselves we're immortal for more than a decade afterwards.”
Jim Butcher, Dead Beat

“After all the evidence is in--after you've run all the facts by everything you know--and you're still lost, you have to do some things on faith.”
Christopher Moore, Island of the Sequined Love Nun

“I do not worship their devil. Nor do I worship their other gods--Jesus, Jehovah, the Holy Spirit--but I respect them, for all gods are One. I worship the Great Mother, the one many call Diana, whose secret name the inquisitors shall never know. If this makes me a witch by their definition--very well then, I am a witch, just as surely as they are Christians and murderers.”
Jeanne Kalogridis, The Burning Times

“They say there is no light without dark, no good without evil, no male without female, no right without wrong. That nothing can exist if it's direct opposite does not also exist.”
Laurell K. Hamilton, Incubus Dreams

“Sometimes good and evil aren't so much opposites as two sides of a coin. You toss it one way and it looks good, another way and it's evil, sometimes it just depends on which end of the gun you're on.”
Laurell K. Hamilton
