About this author

Brenda grew up as the notorious middle child who still dares to color outside the lines. She loves to parasail, bicycle down Pike's Peak, vacation on the OBX, eat dark chocolate and organic foods and shop garage sales with her husband and two daughters.

She earned a Masters Degree in Education, worked as a hospital chaplain, parent educator, and then served as the parenting expert on FOX TV4 in Kansas City, while living in Missouri.

In 2001, the Nixons moved to Brenda's home state, Ohio. Today, she speaks nationally and writes on child behavior and parenting. Her devoted office mates are Opie and Andy...two mini-doxies.

In 2009, her second parenting title, The Birth to Five Book (Revell) released.

My book club read and discussed A Season of Grace. It's an interesting, yet predictable plot.

James Sorry for the delay in accepting the friend offer. It has been an insane couple of months. I look forward to reading your books even though my daughter will turn fifteen in a couple of days. At least I'll have some insight as to how I screwed up! : )
