About this author

A natural chatterbox, I have always loved words and by extension the stories that can be told with them. Fiction, non-fiction, poetry, songs, prayer, news. I began writing when I was a little girl - and for the longest time all I wanted was to be a journalist.

By day a magazine editor, I am working toward being a full time freelance writer while also working full time on my own writing. I self-published my first non-fiction book in February 2011 - The Great Urban Ark - and am working on a second that I hope to sell to a mainstream publisher. I am also working on my first novel.

I review books and songs and talk to authors on https://www.justheardreadseen.com and can be found in various other online haunts...so should our paths ever cross, be...more

I have been so busy recently. Setting up book host tours, reviewing, editing, writing and interviewing - not to mention the day job, the kids, the man, the CATS!

Anyway, The Great Urban Ark has been edited and is available on ePub and paperback over at Lulu - hopefully on Kindle too later today/this week.

And lots of nice new interviews and reviews over on http://justheardreadseen.com

Fantastic read. This first release sets the bar high for Saito and will be I suspect the first of many great reads. Reminiscent of some of King's creepier short stories, none of the offerings in Edge of Darkness will leave you disappointed. A great m...more

I am Ozzy
by Ozzy Osbourne

I was actually pleasantly surprised to when I read this - it made me laugh a lot (with, rather than at, Osbourne) and it certainly gave me a better insight to the man.

I'm not an Osbourne fan, but I can honestly say I don't think as harshly of him ha...more

“Buddhism holds that everything is in constant flux. Thus the question is whether we are to accept change passively and be swept away by it or whether we are to take the lead and create positive changes on our own initiative. While conservatism and self-protection might be likened to winter, night, and death, the spirit of pioneering and attempting to realize ideals evokes images of spring, morning, and birth.”

Elizabeth Gilbert
“People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that's what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life.

A true soul mate is probably the most important person you'll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. But to live with a soul mate forever? Nah. Too painful. Soul mates, they come into your life just to reveal another layer of yourself to you, and then leave.

A soul mates purpose is to shake you up, tear apart your ego a little bit, show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open so new light can get in, make you so desperate and out of control that you have to transform your life, then introduce you to your spiritual master...”
