Keep writing. When you finish one book, start the next one.
No matter what path you choose to publishing, having multiple books release in a short amount of time builds great momentum. When I sold my first book, I had three written and in my debut year I had five releases.

So sorry for the delay in answering! I had my settings wrong and never received a notice on this. Yes, it was brutally hard. I was exhausted after writing those scenes and wound up needing to take a few days off after it. When I first started the book, I had anticipated Tiny being a hero in a later book. It made me sad, but Vic needed something that would completely change the way he approached life and Tiny did it. :) (less)

Neither all men nor all women are written equal.

It’s inevitable: Some women struggle at writing male characters. Some men struggle at writing female characters. We’ve all seen it in one novel or another. I know I have, although of course, as a developmental editor, at some point I see almost ev...

“After slipping the condom on, he rolled on top of her, shoved her hair out of her face and held it while he got lost in those sea green eyes that, in a darkened room, shined bright.
He wanted her. And it wasn’t just the sex. He wanted the whole nutty package.”

“(Isabelle) “You can do whatever you’d like at my house.”
He raised his eyebrows and grinned.
“Within reason,” she added. “If I find you in my bed with a woman, you’re a dead man.”
He grinned bigger.
Her stomach knotted. “Did I say that?”
He continued to grin.
She had said it. Must be the fatigue. Three hours of sleep didn’t cut it.
He stepped closer. Oh, boy.
“Izzy, the only woman I want in that bed is you.”

“Peter heard the lock tumble. She must have turned it with her free hand, because the door opened and the inside light she’d left on washed over them.
Izzy threw her arms around his neck, pressed against him and slammed her tongue into his mouth. Demanding and hot. His breath caught and he couldn’t release it. Thank you, Jesus. He’d never known anything better than this kiss.”
