J.D. Stroube is an author, artist, and a full time psychology major. Her writing crosses many genre's, but most often gears towards fantasy and the paranormal.

J.D. intends to utilize her overwhelming need to know and understand things, to aid her in achieving her Doctorate degree. She then hopes to open her own practice to provide counseling for low income families and children.

In early 2014, J.D. suffered severe injuries, which caused her to postpone the release of her novels. They will however be released in the near future, beginning with "Caged in Spirit."

The injuries I sustained in the beginning of 2014 are finally making headway in the healing department, which means that my books will begin releasing once again! Take a look at the individual books to learn when they will be available. This will begin with the 3rd book in the caged series!

Intertwined (Poetry)
1 chapters   —   updated May 13, 2015 06:31PM
Description: I wrote this poem after my Grandfather died when I was about 15 years old. It is unaltered, which means it is fairly raw. When he was dying, I pulled away from him. It was too difficult to watch. After he passed away, I felt guilty that I wasn't there for him. This poem is about my failure to stay at his side, and about what I envisioned for his afterlife.

Epiphany by J.D. Stroube
“As I turned to leave, I looked down. Beside my foot, a sprout of greenery was clawing its way through the pristine nothingness to begin anew. It was later that I realized my haven had sent me a message, and it had shown me that nothing is ever completely lost, unless you cease searching.”

“Life is filled with unanswered questions, but it is the courage to seek those answers that continues to give meaning to life. You can spend your life wallowing in despair, wondering why you were the one who was led towards the road strewn with pain, or you can be grateful that you are strong enough to survive it.”
J.D. Stroube, Caged by Damnation

“A complete stranger has the capacity to alter the life of another irrevocably. This domino effect has the capacity to change the course of an entire world. That is what life is; a chain reaction of individuals colliding with others and influencing their lives without realizing it. A decision that seems miniscule to you, may be monumental to the fate of the world.”
J.D. Stroube, Caged by Damnation

“There are people in the world, who are just wrong, and then there are the masses of population that are right, or at the very least they lie in the veil of between. I on the other hand, do not belong to any group. I don’t exist. It’s not that I don’t have substance; I have a body like everyone else. I can feel the fire when it burns against my skin, the rain when it caresses my face and the breeze as it fingers my hair. I have all the senses that other people do. I am just empty, inside.”
J.D. Stroube, Caged in Darkness

Please visit these groups when you have a chance: Happy & Brainy Group, To the Glory of Man, and Reason Reigns. Have a marvelous weekend. Warmest regards.

message 2: by Cary

Cary Thanks Joy you make some pretty interesting comments on the Vampire forum. People don't seem to talk about much any more. I think they have just about worn out Twilght. There is only so much adoration you can pour out on a book even if your a teen, LOL.

He said that is not why he didn't like Dead and Gone. LOL Did you finish the whole book yet?

message 4: by Rane

Rane Hello Joy!
Thank you very much for the friend invite! I look forward to talking with you!

gina~* Hey- Thanks for the invite... I noticed you had Dark Lover on your To-Read.... You must read it!! I am currently on the 5th book in the series and All of them so far are AMAZING!!!!

message 6: by Cary

Cary You know Dead and Gone has a lot of gay revelation going on, LOL. Eric tells Sookie he started out his life as a vampire being gay. Then Jasons werepanther buddy says he is Gay and in love with Jason. Barf! Plus bad ass were-biker Tray, and Sookies fairy Godmother Claudine get killed. It is probably the oddest book of the series. I didn't think it could get more wierd than All Together Dead. I think Sookie will end up with lonsome Vampire Bill. I think he truly loves her. More than Eric.

Jessica~CoinOperatedJoy Ooo la la! Good pick! I have a theory (and not just because I'm obssessed with 'em) that I can tell more about a person based on the Beatles song they favor then any other quick question I could ask. Although, between you and I, it's kind of a trick question because as long as you favor ANY Beatles song you're all right by me. ;)

Saw you finished Blue Bloods #1...does this mean you are on to deux????

Hello friend!
