We have so many writers going POD and so many not necessarily publishing to very high standards. It's difficult for me to believe some of these old publishing houses are going to roll over and play dead because of POD. Also, it's difficult to believe with all the multi-million dollar authors in the fold of Traditional publishers. Having said all this I have not done any extensive studying of the statistical data one way or the other. I shall continue to write for the love of writing and allow my stature as an author to land where it might.(less)

Music’s Message

Do you feel lonesome and sad?

Play Vivaldi! Or, play some songs by Tim McGraw.

Do you feel angry, mad as hell, and not going to take it anymore?

Play Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony. Or, play some songs by Toby Keith.

Do you feel contemplative, pensive?

Play Bach or Haydn. Or, play some song... Read more of this blog post »

Butterflies and Jelly Beans - A Love Story (Romance)
1 chapters   —   updated May 14, 2012 12:06PM
Description: A lightning strike brings two people together to fall in love. Jason Prince and jenny Mason know their hearts are in tune, but fate has always a card to play in the game of romance. This old fashioned love story provides some dips along the road: a brother's deception, a gambling habit far outside the norm, and a grandmother's painful secret. It will take a death, a matriarch's great will, an Arizona dust storm, and a long wandering desert rebirth to bring the love story to its 'old fashioned' happy ending. Treat yourself to a poignant and uplifting heart warmer.

Billy Chitwood Been doing a lot of writing --- eight of my books are now out and available on amazon.com in book and Kindle. Guess I've missed a lot in the past few months.

Can someone show me how to link my Goodreads to twitter? OR, is that a no no? Also, can someone show me how to do URLs, when to do them and how? It is shameful to admit but I'm lost in the digital world most of the time. I've tried to get all the 'straw' out of my hair...guess it's time to stop writing and just learn about the tech aspects of social networking. WHERE HAVE I BEEN?

HELP WANTED! (Free help, that is!)

Hope everyone is happily reading and enjoying life. The sun and surf are constant here on the Sea of Cortez. My best to all...

Billy Ray

Danielle The Book Huntress (Angels Weep For Goodreads) Thanks for the friendvite, Billy Ray. You'll get the hang of things on here. I learn something new all the time.

Billy Chitwood A.C.,
'The Moods' ("The Wind Among The Reeds") is also a favorite among Yeats' lyrics---'Time' is an ending theme in my new book, "The Cracked Mirror."
Are you familiar with James Kavanaugh's "Will You Be My Friend?"
And, will you be my friend?

P.J. Sullivan Congratulations on "The Cracked Mirror" and welcome to Goodreads. A word of advice: don’t enter your book into a Goodreads giveaway. The winners will not appreciate it and some will trash it for the stupidest of reasons. Don’t expose your book to abuse by rank amateurs, chosen at random, who have no idea how to write an objective book review. Most winners have no real interest in the books. Don’t waste your money. I appreciate and enjoy Goodreads, but will never again enter a giveaway.
