![]() Welcome back, fellow masochists (or those of you who simply wish to forgo the hassle of reading this crap and opt for my poignant reviews instead). I wish I could say Fifty Shades Freed met my expectations, but...well, honestly, I don't know what... " Read more of this review » |

“Sam. I've got news for you. Not every childhood trauma can be healed by finding the right penis."
Sam looked devastated. He opened and closed his mouth, eyes wide, then suddenly slumped back against the railing, unable to support himself anymore. "You mean," his voice was barely a whisper. "All those romance novels lied?”

“He made me pick a safe word." Nik peeked between his fingers. Sam's mouth was hanging open.
"Oh." Sam's voice was a whisper. More of the throat clearing. "What did you pick?"
Not the question he'd been expecting. Nik looked up at Sam from under his hand.
"Lemonade."
"Lemonade?" Nik nodded. "Do you like lemonade?"
"Does it matter? Yes, I like lemonade."
"Shouldn't you have picked something you didn't like, to make sure there were no, um, inadvertent exclamations at an important moment?"
He dropped his hand and stared at Sam. "Who screams out 'lemonade' in the middle of sex?"
Sam blushed. Nik was momentarily grateful for his dark skin. "You'd be surprised," Sam mumbled.”

“He turned to Matt and gave a huge smile, one hand on her withers. James reached out and pulled Matt to him, and they stood there in a little circle. It felt disconcertingly like… a family reunion. Matt turned away from James‟s bright smile and looked at Miz in something akin to horror. Was she their… child? Miz nipped him. Hard. While snorting horse mucus all over him. Damn thing couldn‟t even blow her own damn nose. Would she ever grow up?”

Thanks, Morgana! I'm really glad to hear you liked the book, but my next release is in my other series, Theta Alpha Gamma. I will have a new Romancelandia book out in January, though. I know it's a while, sorry. :-/ I wish I could write faster. . . *sigh*
Thank you for accepting my friend request, Anne :) BTW, yesterday I finished Too Stupid to Live and I LOVED it.
Looking forward to more books in the Romancelandia series.
LOL I stopped reading friends' books. Or at least I stopped rating them, and once I did that I stopped saying I was reading or had read them. I should put it in, though—I've read at least three of yours.
Hell yes, I'll be your friend! Although really, you should go and read more of my books first ;P*Hugs*
Jo x
Honestly? I don't mind sick at Christmas, if it's me. Then I get to stay home and languish in bed, LOL. I did that last year, and except for the occasional puking it was lovely. LMAO
I'm staying home too. We usually go to my mother's for Christmas Eve it's when my family growing up celebrated Christmas, but this year my sister and her family are all sick and I've had a sore throat for a couple of days now today my son says he's not feeling well. So my mother cancelled dinner there and we'll just have a very small Christmas at home on the 25th. *sigh* Sick at Christmas just sucks! :-P
You too, Monika! What are you doing for the holiday? I'm staying near home, but visiting my parents and my in-laws. Pretty tame, which sounds perfect. :-)
snerkI don't know, do you answer to "crazy Canuck"?
BTW, "Canuck" isn't actually insulting is it? I'm using it pretty freely, I should prolly figure that out, huh?
Hi Anne! How is it we aren't friends over here? I thought we were. lol. Either way, nice to see you here. :D
Just snooping around your profile page to see if there's any news about upcoming releases. Don't mind me...:)

No you don't. Once when the kids were little (littler) someone asked them what their daddy did and one of them said, "He goes to meetings."
LMAO Totally forgot. The husband even had to go see them on a business trip (I don't know how he gets himself into these things) and he made a big deal out of it when Roy got eaten.

Who was the one that got eaten by the tiger, again?
Not missing much with Wagner. Unless you like bombastic operas. Hitler was a big Wagner fan....
If Jurgen's Siegfried, does that make Nik Roy?LMAO, sorry, couldn't resist. I don't listen to a lot of opera (Wagner's opera, right? Not ballet?), and it's been years since I listened to a lot of classical. You're making me miss my Tchaikovsky...
Anne wrote: "Oh, jeez, I never even thought of that. LOL"We all have different twisty brains, obviously. You know, Wagner is kind of fitting, considering Jurgen's physique. I'm sure Wagner would think he'd make a great Siegfried.

You know, every time I read Jurgen's last name I'm hearing Wagner. 'Götterdämmerung' and all that.
Hey Marleen-There shouuld be an entry for it -- it's just hard to find since there are about a million books with "the fix"The Fix <--- here it is.
Well, the thing with their names sort of gets explained in the Sam and Ian's book. Basically, Jurgen's father is a German immigrant, and his mother's brother (Ian's father) marries an Irish woman. I think that's it. I keep forgetting how it works and having to look it up...
I enjoyed The Fix! Now you need to make a goodreads entry for it, so I can tell everyone I liked it!I am very excited about your new Taskforce book, but after The Fix I am also excited about Sam and Ian. That should be fun! Just wondering though how a guy named Jurgen Dammerung ends up with a cousin named Ian.
I know! Someone in my writing group just told me. I never win anything. I'm kinda befuddled by it all, truth be told.Hey, Marleen, did you see that I'm going to have another Task Force book out in May? It's a short, sort of novella length, but I'm excited. :)

I'll pretty much answer to anything and no "Canuck" is not insulting not to me anyway!
