Augusta Blythe is the author of Winterborne and Ravenstoke, YA urban fantasy novels. She is also the author of Hostel Takeover written under the pseudonym Keeley Bates. She currently lives in England with her husband, two children, a clown fish, a cleaner shrimp and a mine urchin.


My son desperately wanted a hot dog for lunch today so like a good (i.e., doormat) mother, I trotted off to the store in search of hot dogs and other 'necessities.' I found this book incredibly useful with illustrative anecdotes and practical advice. I highly recommend this book for anyone with children. I would even recommend the chapters on teen girls to teen girls as well as their parents and intend to share...more
