I’m not your “normal” writer. I didn’t aspire from a young age to become a writer. My last day of high school, my English teacher said, “There is a book in each of you. Whether it’s a how-to, non-fiction, fiction—find that book.” I thought, right.

My hubby reads a lot, so I began to pick up the books he’d buy—mysteries and thrillers. But he traveled, so I only read while he was in town…too scared to sleep by myself. LOL. Years later, hubby and I planned a trip to an amusement park with the kids, and since I can’t ride roller coasters anymore, I went to B&N and picked up a book. A romance. I read all day and stayed up most of the night to finish the book. After that, I read every romance I could find.

While working on the cover art for ANGEL EYES, I searched thousands of photos...I needed a handsome blond man, which quite honestly was hard to find...and I needed two pictures of him, one for the short story prologue (VIOLET-EYED ANGEL) and another for the book itself. The problem was, VIOLET-EYED ANGEL takes place 20 years before the book!
