Please help me Goodreaders! I'm having a horrible time remembering what book this scene is from and I feel like I'm losing my mind. In the scene there's a dog or a wolf, but the narrator doesn't see him He's kind of a sad/dark character and once he bites someone, he never lets go, or holds on until death. Something like that. I think the whole conversation happens in the dark. The main character might be a child. I know the book is relatively well-known and has a Roald Dahl or Gaiman vibe to it. Does anyone know what book I'm talking about?
Thanks for the add. My thought's exactly. If you can't be honest in a review why review in the first place? I look forward to talking books with you in the future! :D

Hello, thank you for the friendship request. Jane Eyre is a perfectly acceptable answer - she is one of my favourite heroines as well.
Okay, so I'm removing all my ratings except for the five star books I adored. It's something I've been considering for a long time and I feel really good about it. However, I'm still going to review the books I'm reading and comment as I'm reading them. I'm also still wildly interested in reading your ratings.
I wrote almost ten thousand words on my revision today. I didn't even know it was possible to write that much in a day.
