Pamela Beason lives in the Pacific Northwest, where she writes novels and screenplays and works as a private investigator. When she's not on the job, she explores the natural world on foot, in cross-country skis, in her kayak, or underwater scuba diving.

Beason is the author of six full-length fiction works; THE ONLY WITNESS, SHAKEN, CALL OF THE JAGUAR, ENDANGERED(1st in Summer Westin eco-mystery series), BEAR BAIT (2nd in Summer Westin series), and UNDERCURRENTS (3rd in the Summer Westin series). First of all, let me state that I am a voracious reader as well as an author. I have never counted, but I probably read at least 200 books per year.

When you’re looking for a good book to read, where do you go to search? I’d really like to know. I have friends who use all the “Top 100…” lists on Amazon, but I didn’t even know those lists existed before they were pointed out to me.

Greenlaw does such a wonderful job of describing the small fishing community and life aboard boats that I always feel like I've been there. I will definitely read all the books in this series.

A mesmerizing, creepy portrait of a very sick small town. Seems like nearly every inhabitant contributed to the murders of two little girls, even if it was by pretending that disturbing behaviors were normal or weird events were not happening.
