M. A. Demers is a freelance writer, editor, creative consultant and fine art photographer based near Vancouver, British Columbia.

Prior to publishing her first novel, Baby Jane, Demers wrote almost exclusively for the film industry, including the ghostwriting of production notes for over 30 major motion pictures. She is a screenwriter with, to date, six spec and four commissioned scripts, one optioned documentary project, and was the unaccredited story editor on the award-winning MOW A Cooler Climate, starring Sally Field and Judy Davis. Demers has many published editorials and articles in print or online, and is a featured essayist in Writing About Literature: A Guide for the Student Critic. KDP authors can now download mobi files to test before publishing

Amazon has made yet another unannounced change to the Kindle Direct Publishing author interface, this time to preview files. Previously, when an author uploaded a file to their dashboard they had the option to download an HTML version to test and, if necessary, edit. This option to download an HTML file is gone, replaced with the option to download a mobi file.
