About this author

When I was teaching at a local college, Far Away Home began as a chapter for a history book. Therefore, my research had to be primary and precise; I even drove a covered wagon. In addition to this novel, I have written several articles for professional journals and newsletters. One of my essays was selected for an anthology, Bite of the Apple. I received honorable mention in a NOW short story contest and had short stories published in Creative Woman. The website for my book is www.nolimitpress.com. Check out the video of me driving the covered wagon. It was quite an experience.

The Paris Wife was one of the best books I’ve read in ages. Written in memoir style, McLain brings Hadley and “Hem” vividly to life- I liked them despite their flaws, fragilities and failures. This book reminded me of Just Kids, but contrary to popul...more
