<about><![CDATA[Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife was originally self-published in 1999 as The Bar Sinister and sold a phenomenal 10,000 copies. In 2004 Sourcebooks purchased the rights and republished it under its original title. Readership soared and, thanks to their request for more, in 2006 Linda penned Darcy & Elizabeth: Nights and Days at Pemberley. At last count, over 250,000 of Linda's Pride & Prejudice sequels are in print.

As a word and idiom lover, Linda's Regency research accumulated scores of hilarious and unusual euphemisms - so many that she just had to share. She did so in 2007 by way of Very Nice Ways to Say Very Bad Things, the Unusual Book of Euphemism. Currently, she's just finishing her third novel, Fandango - set in 1850 San Francisco.

After that, she will publish a third in the Darcy series, chronicling the lives of Darcy and Elizabeth and their family. That book is titled The Ruling Passion. She will update publication dates as soon they become available.

Linda and her husband happily abide on a pecan farm in Texas. Although she admits that she eloped in a manner similar to Lydia Bennet's, to her great fortune it was with Darcy, not Wickham.
