About this author

I was raised on both coasts and straight down the middle of America, where the cobblestone streets of Old Town Alexandria, the wild prairies and outlaws of Kansas, and the rolling hills of San Francisco inspired my thirst for history. Luckily, I was able to grow up and continue to slake this passion with the best job in the world: writing historical fiction. I live in Northern California with incredibly possessive and territorial cat, a perpetually disastrous kitchen, and a house full of books.

Evangeline Holland is on page 100 of 452 of The River of No Return: Publishers take note: ebooks won't cannibalize hardcover (and possibly trade paperback) sales. I am finding it incredibly difficult to sit down and read a 400+ page ebook, whereas 200-300 pages (length of genre fiction) is no problem! There's a major, major chance I will go get this in print to save my efforts.

I read Robinson's debut when it was released and found it charming, humorous, and sexy, and In the Arms of the Heiress is no different. This is set in late 1903 and features a screwball heiress heroine and a tortured lower-class hero. There's plenty...more
