Julie has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in English Literature from San Diego State University. In addition, she earned a Masters in Social Work from the University of Alabama. She has worked in teaching, childbirth education and family therapy.

She is the author of three women's fiction novels including, The woman He Married, Count Down to Love and No Holly for Christmas.

Count Down to Love was recently chosen as a Whitney Award finalist.

Currently, she lives in Nashville, TN with her husband, two daughters and one very feisty fish.

This book is fun, sassy and bursting with wit. The cast of characters are vivid and likable. Being a former therapist myself, I especially appreciated the way Jacobson wrote the father. The plot is a bit predictable but then what romance isn't?
