About this author

I love reading and telling stories. I have done so for as long as I can remember, but for many years reading was my priority. However, about a decade ago, I decided to stop reading for a while and tell my own story. It worked and in 2009 I published my first novel The Human Race, which tells the tale of a device which has the power to halt global warming. Topical hey! The ensuing race to control the power of this machine will continue throughout the sequels to The Human Race, and I am well on my way to completing the second in the trilogy.

Just like The Human Race, the sequel weaves fact with fiction (in my opinion, the best kind of story!) and encompasses current events such as the global financial meltdown, Al Qaeda, a new US President, a...more

The Government published its annual report last week lauding the growth in the UK’s green economy – apparently the green goods and services market is now worth £122bn and the low carbon economy now employs almost one million people. Impressive figures by any measurement, particularly since the sector is reported to have grown by 4.7 per cent against the2009/10 figure of £116.8bn. Not bad in th...

Description: ‘I used to hate Twitter. I didn’t understand it but over the last few months I have finally ‘got it’ and become hooked. You get to dip into and out of other people’s lives. Hear their thoughts. Some profound. Others nonsensical. Many hilarious. But all have one thing in common which I love. They are short, concise and sweet. When you only have 140 characters to play with, you get to the point quickly. Keep it snappy. You tweet and move on. It’s very much in keeping with our fast paced lives where we don’t have time for very much of anything anymore. My book reviews reflect that philosophy. Hopefully they tell you everything you need to know about the books I have read. You may not like them. Hopefully you will. But at least you won’t have to read a review the length of a book to understand what I like and don’t.

Description: Ever had a secret so big that your very knowledge of it consumed you? Uma Jakobsdóttir has one. A huge one. And if it falls into the wrong hands, it could obliterate mankind. Unfortunately, two men have discovered it. Ethan Rae, Britain's richest man, is counting on Uma's secret to finally seal his position as the greatest deal maker of all time. Across the Atlantic, Samuel Reynolds III, playboy CEO of Reynolds Air, is battling to keep alive the airline his grandaddy built. Once the largest company in America, it's now facing bankruptcy as the fallout from 911 cripples the airline industry. He desperately needs Uma's secret to ensure its survival. From the leafy suburbs of London to the frozen wasteland of Iceland, in the shadow of Ground Zero and the barren dryness of the Mojave Desert, both men will stop at nothing to get what they want. There can only be one winner and the fate of the human race hangs in the balance as they battle it out. The race is on...
