About this author

I am a writer, copy editor, lazy photographer, and mom of four living in the Great White North. Originally from Portland, Oregon, in 2002 I relocated from Los Angeles to the suburbs of Vancouver, BC, with my Canadian husband and miniature humans. I studied English, political science, and criminology through Washington State University, as well as copy and substantive editing (2005-06) through Simon Fraser University in Vancouver. In 2007 I was a member of the eight-person fiction cohort of SFU's one-year intensive, the Writer’s Studio.

Represented by Daniel Lazar at Writers House.

The mall parking lots are totally overwhelmed with morons who don't know how to drive, their angry faces throwing shade (and worse) at each other for the spot closest to the food court entrance. The television blasts Christmas programming interspersed with ear-splitting ads for must-have toys and gadgets that the kiddies will break/... Read more of this blog post »

"I absolutely freaking loved this book. So funny. Sarcastically funny, which is totally me. I could easily see this as a movie. A romantic comedy. But, sorry ladies, no detailed sex scenes in this one.

Sangr1a Thanks for your friendship, Jennifer! :D

Hey, we're practically neighbors! I used to live in Washington. Spent 4 years in Chehalis, graduated from Battle Ground HS (only went there for 18 months, but still...). Now I'm just outside Vancouver, BC. Wild ride, but I love the Pacific NW!

Thanks back at ya for the friendship!

I know! You're only a few hours away. Yeah, there's something about the Pacific NW. Oregon's a lot like WA although I think Oregon's a lot greener and have fresher air. We loved the scenary when we drove to Seaside. :D
