A rare sequel that matches or possibly surpasses its predecessor. Shane keeps his CoP series fresh with a new narrator and a new setting. However, the key elements that made the first book gripping are still in place: the secret war, the us vs. th...

| When I first read this book, I didn't think much of it but it keep coming back to me. Every time I'm in the East Village, I think of scenes from this book that I didn't even know that I remembered. Now, I couldn't forget this book if I wanted to. | |

| I read this book before I moved to the neighborhood in Brooklyn where I currently live and where this book takes place. When I moved there, I kept having this weird feeling like I'd already lived there. That's the power of this book. | |

| I liked it enough that I want to read the second and third ones (I just haven't gotten around to it yet). I'll reserve all other judgment until then. | |

I love the fact that you're still thinking about Children of Paranoia after having finished it. Warms the heart. And yeah, you see stories like that sometimes. One of the nightly news shows recently had a story about a girl who left the Fred Phelps church and how none of her family will talk to her any more. It really makes things hit home.
Hi Trevor,I just read an article that mentioned a man who left the neo-Nazis. Kinda reminded me of Joseph, how he'd seen so much and taught so much hate, yet he always had a choice.
Thanks. It's always nice get positive feedback. While I love the first book, I'm hoping that readers will think they get better as they go on.
