About this author

My stories are romantic, fantastic, futuristic, queer, weird, sadistic. Most will not only be a sexual journey, as well as a love story, but also have a solid further plot. Please take into account that I write QUILTBAG fiction and dark erotica rather than romance. I don't do bittersweet endings, but I also do not employ romance tropes.

What to tell you about my person? I am green-eyed with dark hair, unmarried, queer and kinky in just about any direction you can imagine, and some you wouldn't even think of. I've been in the BDSM lifestyle since before I was officially old enough and have more than a working expertise regarding whips and other percussion instruments and I love to spend my time outdoors gardening or with my dogs.

I’m not your run of the mill feminist, most times feminism and I are at loggerheads, because I am a professed “equalist” or egalitarian if you will. I consider both genders at the same value. How could I do differently, housing so clearly both of them within myself. Should I start hating my male side? [...] Read more of this blog post »

Sam Harris
“In fact, "atheism" is a term that should not even exist. No one ever needs to identify himself as a "non-astrologer" or a "non-alchemist." We do not have words for people who doubt that Elvis is still alive or that aliens have traversed the galaxy only to molest ranchers and their cattle. Atheism is nothing more than the noises reasonable people make in the presence of unjustified religious beliefs.”

Vera Brittain
“I wish those people who write so glibly about this being a holy War, and the orators who talk so much about going on no matter how long the War lasts and what it may mean, could see a case--to say nothing of 10 cases--of mustard gas in its early stages--could see the poor things burnt and blistered all over with great mustard-coloured suppurating blisters, with blind eyes--sometimes temporally, sometimes permanently--all sticky and stuck together, and always fighting for breath, with voices a mere whisper, saying that their throats are closing and they know they will choke.”
Vera Brittain

Kynthos-the-Archer Hi Steel, thanks for the invite.

Jeannette Feel free to start a discussion on my review.

Will do. I didn't read any more over lunch; it doesn't seem the kind of thing to read while eating.

Steelwhisper Jeannette wrote: "She doesn't hold back, does she? And, the first chapter, at least, is written in this "deadpan" style which adds to the shock of it, imo."

No she doesn't. Feel free to start a discussion on my review. I believe Chrissie also read it entirely now.

Jeannette She doesn't hold back, does she? And, the first chapter, at least, is written in this "deadpan" style which adds to the shock of it, imo.

You're very welcome ;) And that book is really mind-boggling in its candour. I hope you'll enjoy it!

Jeannette Thanks for the friend request, Steelwhisper. I've been following, and enjoying, your current discussion with Dawn and Chrissie. As a result, I just started reading The Backwash Of War. I look forward to getting to know you!

Thanks for the friending! I need to get past the first chapters of all three books, then I'll start posting my thoughts. I'm a slow reader unfortunately ;)

Dawn (& Ron) Thanks for the invite! Sorry it took so long, I haven't been on all week and I miss it.

Thanks for friending me! Yes, I noticed we have quite a few similar interests (which was why I befriended you) and I often take reading suggestions from the people I'm friends with. I thoroughly enjoyed Lethargica, just am a bit too time-pressed currently to add reviews to all the books I read these past weeks. Once I finished the novella for "Love Is Always Write" I certainly will look into your project--you hooked me already with Lethargica ;)

Edward Carpenter Thanks for the friend request! It was my great pleasure to accept. Thank you also for your rating of Lethargica - and for giving me some more reading ideas from your booklist... I noticed that the Regency is a subject of interest for you; you might enjoy checking out my latest project here: http://bit.ly/Klz1pC - I would be very interested to hear your thoughts!

Best regards,
Edward
