This was one of the most random books I have read in a while. I appreciated the topic, I greatly enjoyed her literary style and writing, and once I was reading it was hard to stop. However none of those thing added up to actually enjoying the book...

“People marvel at the genius of Mozart because he supposedly wrote "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" at the age of three and composed his first symphony at the age of twelve. And yes, of course he was a genius, but another way to look at it is that he just discovered early what it was God made him to do. That's all. For some reason, God gave him a little extra, or a little something different, and Mozart found out what that was and then got a head start on using it. Of course he was brilliant, but that's not the point. The point is he knew, and then he got to work.”

“We know that God is everywhere; but certainly we feel His presence most when His works are on the grandest scale spread before us; and it is in the unclouded night-sky, where His worlds wheel their silent course, that we read clearest His infinitude, His omnipotence, His omnipresence.”

Yes! And I meant to bring it to you the other night. I even had it laying out and then just rushed out the door. Sorry.
AWESOME!! We should totally go...and then get buzz cuts afterward. :) How is it she pops up everywhere??
So let me know if you happen to see a NY Yankee baseball cap, along with a pink bow...and who knows what else we "added" to your life :)
Thank you! I've had better seasons in my life to be sure. I just keep reminding myself that is what this is....just a season.
I have a meeting at 9 am- we could come after that. I'm not sure what time it will end. I could probably be there by 11, but is that too late?
Conner will be off too. Friday's his last day. Do you want to say your house Monday like at 10? I so hope it's not a blizzard!
It's a neighborhood book group- it just got back together after it seems like a year. It was last night as well- so I missed two book clubs!! How did the Herriman one go?
And what do you think of all my non fiction choices again (sigh) of course I picked up the bell jar first. It's the one I want to read the most and I never allowed my self too before...I don't know why.
Mine fell through too. I called my sister and she can do it until 8 pm so maybe we could start early? I'm going to see if I can find someone else too...
I just tried to get on their website, but their server is having difficulty. Do you know what time it starts? I think we can do dinner, I just need to arrange a baby sitter
I'm sorry you're still feeling discouraged. For what it's worth, I really enjoyed reading your blog.
And why is that? Do I need to take you to TYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYNA's class again to get your creative juices flowing?
I've had sooo many people tell me they love These Is My Words. You'll have to tell me if you like it. I've had it on my list for awhile, but probably won't get to it for some time. (like all books on my list)
Let me know when you are done with that book. I am almost done with everything I am reading and need something new. I may also start the kite runner soon. Thanks
You're still going tomorrow night, right? I will come pick you up a couple of minutes before seven :)
I'm sorry I missed your comment yesterday. I was at my in-laws Halloween Party. I actually had some from when Hallie was Snow White. Sorry!!
Thanks! I was so tired of my old picture, but I never seem to be in any so finally I just decided to change it to the next one I was in.
