Shallow and not at all as funny as I had hoped. Full of crude serial content that gives no depth to the story and comes across childish and exists merely as an excuse for the Author to dish out his own twisted fantasies.
Michel Sauret is reading Bad Monkey: the hero is mostly selfish and the book is full of crude sexual material that reveal pure shallowness

What is most striking about Saunders is how simple his prose is. There is nothing eloquent or poetic about it, yet he delivers the message in striking fashion.

The story is mostly flat. Never really felt a sense of danger, nor really the awe or wonder I'm assuming this was supposed to have conveyed. This is a poor man's version of the Dark Towers series, in a way.
