Distractions are so distracting. Here are a few ideas to help you cope:

1) The first trick for dealing with them is to be sure you’re not causing your own distractions: You check your email, Twitter or Facebook account, or make a quick phone call when you had started out to work on a big project, like writing a novel. And then, every so often you do the checking again. This kills your focus, and...

This story is so different, in a good way. Just describing the plot, it would not have been something I thought I would like, but the idea of the story of a dwarf and magic in “olden” times got my interest.
It is so well told, I couldn’t stop reading

Deceptive Practices by Simon Wood
"I had a blast narrating this. It moves fast with a hint of Hitchcock suspense thrown in there. And the idea of Infidelity Limited scares the crap out of me. Great book. Should be a great listen too. "

Overall, I enjoyed this book. The writing was very good, the plot held my interest, and Evelyn, obviously the main character, was well-developed and interesting. I liked the premise, as well.
My only quibbles are first that Evelyn seemed to cry a lot

Jan I was glad to find you here, Beth. I know we "run intd" each other lots of places on line, but don't interact that much, which is too bad. I love Colorado, BTW--lived there for two years in Colorado Springs back in the 1960s. I see we've read a lot of the same books and often rated them the same. I still need to add a lot. I hope you have continued good luck with your writing career. I'm testing out the indie waters.
