Life As We Knew It by Susan Beth Pfeffer
Couldn't put this book down. One of the best "end of the world" books I've read. Can't wait to read the next two books.

Update: read the sequels and wish I'd stopped with this book. The storyline: dark, darker, darkest. The ending devastated me...
