If you’ve read The Yankee Club or All that Glitters, you might suspect I’m a big fan of film noir and Hollywood’s Golden Age. Although I loved Dashiell Hammett’s The Thin Man novel, Jake and Laura and the series were inspired by The Thin Man movies starring William Powell (who makes an appearance in All That Glitters) and Myrna Loy.
