"Love in the City of Grudges," my latest poetry book, ranges from suburban childhood to youthful longings and misadventures in gentrifying Hoboken in the 1980s, from an escape to Catskills log cabin to Night of the Living Dead as family history. "We're embarrassed to smile, but page after page we do," wrote the poet Djelloul Marbrook, who blogged about the book at http://www.djelloulmarbrook.com/2010/.... Susan Deer Cloud said these poems conjure up "a WASP Odysseus from Connecticut sailing into America's nightmare hinterlands" and praised the "heroic, ironic, bittersweet, sexy elegance of language." The publisher's website is http://foothillspublishing.com/2010/i.... "My Late Mother as a Ruffed Grouse" was my previous poetry book.

Susan Will, thanks for suggestions. I want to read all the good books but I think by the time I get there I'll be teetering on Eternity.
Hey, everyone ...... buy Will's My Late Mother as a Ruffled Grouse ..... it is truly superb (actually, Will gives me kickbacks for saying this to people ..... me being a poor poet and all ... only the kickbacks come in the wampum words of his poems!).

Hi Brent,

Thanks! I stumbled into this network yesterday by chance. Now I'm fascinated. I'm discovering what you've been saying about the virtual world having so many possibilities for books. Now I'll know what you and everybody else is reading! Some very interesting books!

See you,

Will

Hi Rebecca,

Yes! "Logic" is still on my bulletin board where I posted it all these months ago. It's a terrific poem. Now I see that you've got a new book coming out soon. I look forward to reading it!

Take care,

Will

Brent Will -- your little nudge prompted me to update my page with a bunch of books I've read since the summer, including YOURS, for which I created a manual entry and gave it FIVE STARS.
Hope you're enjoying the big snow!
