About this author

I'm a writer living in Perth, WA. I have a big family, with five older brothers who endlessly entertain me. I wrote my first story book when I was six years old. My parents thought it was epic, but looking back on it, it wasn't even finished. But it had potential.

My writing encompasses contemporary YA. 'Friendship on Fire' is my debut novel and I'm very proud of her. My other work is on a fingers crossed list. I also review from time to time and love to meet new people - readers and writers.

I have a naughty ranga cat called Ginger and a passion for Redskins. Rotten teeth? Eh?

Believe it or not, there is a difference between plain negativity and being critical about someone's writing. Believe it or not, authors can distinguish between the two and not be the 'overly sensitive' writers they are stereotyped to be. Of course we are protective of our writing, but when someone can logically and constructively, not personally or patronisingly give different scope and angles... Read more of this blog post »

“Teenagers are in the throes of learning the biggest lesson of all: life isn’t simple, it isn’t black and white. It’s multiple and varied shades of grey. If you mix these shades of grey you might end up getting close to black or white, but in the end, it’s the darkening of themselves around the edges and the ways in which they bend and break that will make them more wholesome people; people that others will want to be around and who will contribute greatly to society when given the awesome opportunity.”
Danielle Weiler, Friendship on Fire

“You will do well in everything you seek out to do…because you don’t give up. Others make mistakes, fall down, lose heart, and you do too, but you don’t give up. You don’t lose yourself in the process. You keep moving forward and pushing for only the very best’ (Miss Shaw to Daisy, 'Friendship on Fire', p. 446)”
Danielle Weiler

“You independent women these days don't need to play by the old rules anymore. Embrace it. Chase your man. But be sensible.' (Daisy's Nanna, 'Friendship on Fire', p. 400)”
