Dear Penny,I was so happy to see you become an author on good reads.I discovered your books last year when the Lytton trilogy came out in the US.After scouring through those, i found all of your other books on ebay and I purchased them in paperback from the UK or Australia.(I couldn't wait for the U.S. releases)Imagine my delight when the books arrived and they were so...fat!I could not believe that I had not discovered you before.I am an avid reader and I have a degree in European history so I'm always intrigued by books that make the events become real for me.I particularly like the Lytton trilogy because it shows the war from the British perspective.I was also struck by WWI,and WWII in that long established class systems started to fall away;war being the great equalizer. Please write more soon! ( I've read everything but Glimpses and that is not available anywhere. Also, my puppy ate my copy of Windfall and that's one of my favorites.I need to replace it.)Have a lovely time on your tour!
Sincerely,
Renee
Hi DanielHaving seen what you do and the books you write, I am incredibly flattered you want to read mine.
Enjoy!

Thank you for a lovely letter! I'm so glad you liked the Lyttons--and it' so especially pleasing that an expert on European history should approve! I did work very hard on the research--but it's always an anxiety, getting it right. Or as right as it can be!
Sorry about the puppy eating Wndfall; mine ate a HUGE library book about Winston Churchill...
Thank you for your good wishes on my tour. I'm looking forward to it very much. .
