That's right. Big things are happening. The Fall has a trailer. And a new (awesome) cover. Originally published independently, The Fall has been picked up by a major publisher and will be released three weeks from today, on May 1. Here’s the trailer! Check back tomorrow to enter for a chance to win a signed Advance Reader's Copy.

Yesterday was an incredible day. After years of writing this book and landing the support of a publisher, The Fall is now officially published! I always just wanted this book to have a chance, and now it does. So far, the advance reviews have been overwhelmingly enthusiastic and the support from the Goodreads community in particular has been incredible. Thank you for that!

The book is available now at Amazon as a paperback, ebook, and audiobook, so click on through and get it any way you want it.

And, as I'm sure you know, the best way for readers to discover new books they might love is to hear about them from readers like you. So please consider leaving a review on Goodreads and at Amazon after you've read the book.

Hey readers, I've got an idea I'd like to try out with you.

The Fall is an entertaining and provocative book about identity, coming of age, family, college, and how we face the deciding moments in life that make us who we are. In other words, it can make for a really fascinating discussion.

So here's what I'm thinking. When you and your book group read The Fall, let me know and invite me to participate in your group's discussion LIVE!

So far I've done Skype Q&As with a college class in New Jersey and a group of women in Alaska. It's always fun. And it's always interesting.

And it's a pretty cool way to make your next book group gathering unique. All you need is a computer with Skype and a group of readers. Curious about a particular scene or theme? Have a question about where these characters came from? Want to know more about the writing, editing, and publishing process? Turn part of your book group gathering into a live Q&A with the author, and then....just ask!

If you’re interested, tell your book group about The Fall and email me at ryanquinnbooks@gmail.com for more information.

This weekend I hosted a release party for The Fall. Instead of a typical book event, I threw a college-themed house party with beer pong and three special drinks--"The Sultry Songstress," "The Closeted Athlete," and "Jock Juice"--each named for one of the three main characters in the book.

Before things got to rowdy, I did a quick reading, talked to the group about The Fall and the experience of being published, took questions from partygoers, and signed books. The highlight of the night was a surprise guest appearance (via Skype) by bestselling author Steve Kluger, who several months ago read The Fall and provided a very flattering blurb.

Here's a pic of me during the reading!

Stay tuned for more: the reading and Q&A was filmed, along with some behind-the-scenes footage, and I'll post links to all that as soon as we get the videos edited.

To celebrate the release of The Fall, I threw a college-themed party, complete with beer pong, drinks named after the book's main characters, and signing books.

But I also took a break from the debauchery to talk to readers about the book, read a short excerpt, play a (ahem...intimate) clip from the audiobook, and take questions from the rowdy audience.

Here is the video of all that, including a surprise guest caller (who happens to be a bestselling author himself)!

Enjoy! And stay tuned to my YouTube page in the coming days for shorter (more internet-friendly) clips from the book release party.

A few more videos are up at my YouTube page, but I couldn't help but want to share this one in particular.

The highlight of The Fall book release party was something I did not see coming. Luckily, it was captured on camera.
