After earning a Bachelor's in English from Rice University, Barbara divided her time between working with small groups of entrepreneurs who didn't know any better than to start their own companies and swimming against the current of the publishing industry, eventually co-founding Be Mused, an author services company devoted to helping authors and small publishers develop books. Chris Stevenson Howdy, friend in the South. Nice reading list, Barb. We should all support the industry by purchasing books like this. I wish I was on your reading list!


Danielle Parker Barbara, looking at your list of interesting books here, I can't help but recommend another I think you'd find interesting (and one of my all-time favorite authors): David Lewis-Williams.

Try his wonderful "Inside the Neolithic Mind: Consciousness, Cosmos, and the Realms of the Gods" and "The Mind in the Cave". Both wonderfully readable books--not dry at all. And thought-provoking.
