Do you have a series that isn’t selling as well as you wish it would? Do you have a series that once sold well but has dropped into obscurity? Do you have a series that’s never made it out of obscurity? (Is this blog post sounding like a late night infomercial pitch? Hmm.)

A romantic comedy with an original hero (think of a less annoying version of Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory). Lots of chuckles and a cute story--glad my readers suggested it to me.

“Trust me, I never underestimate my charm or any of my other magnificent attributes. They work great on women. Alas, men tend to see me as an unwelcome rival. You, he might listen to. You're good at talking people into things."

"What makes you say that?"

"Because I'm perched in the rafters of a cannery, at risk from a man-slaying magical creature, and spending time with a drunk, a gangster, and an assassin at . . . what time is it?”

“Waiting for the right people isn't going to get us where we want; we need to go out and find..." She groped for the right word. A mission? A project? A job?

"Trouble?" Sicarius suggested.

"An endeavor that will help the city and prove to the emperor that we're undeserving of the bounties on our heads and we're invaluable resources to his regime."

"Trouble," Sicarius said.”

“You can only fight one man at a time with a sword, but, with a pen, you can compose a lecture to bore legions of enemy troops to death.”

Lindsay Awww, thank you, Jessieee! (That's a lot of e's, by the way--not the traditional spelling. ;)

Jessie (Ageless Pages Reviews) love your books & blog. I have reading material forever :D

Lindsay Thanks for the note, John!

I read the first...eight or nine Black Company books years ago and noticed Cook had a couple more out since then, so I'm going to grab them when I get a chance. ;) I especially liked the first three with Croaker's dry humor.

message 2: by John

John Carroll I noticed you have the Black Company Chronicles on your to read list. They are really, really good. It's one of the few darker novels that I really like and I think Glen Cook got lost a little bit in the middle, but I highly recommend it.

Darcia Helle Thanks for the add, Lindsay! :)
