About this author

Stumbling Over Chaos is giving away a paperback of A Thread of Deepest Black, and I'll send it anywhere in the world, provided it's legal to ship it there (I love to travel and would hate to end up in jail for 500 years for breaking some antiquated obsenity law!)

If you're interested, head on over and add your name to the comments by June 11, 2012.

Thanks Chris!

Chris is reading Prey: "There were so many good reasons for hating people on an individual basis that mass, generic hatred seemed idiotic. Hate a person for who they were, God knows he did, but for what they were? Moronic and lazy."

"Yup, was a good story! "
Nile Princess
Nile Princess is 30% done with True Colors: At 30% and they've just barely consciously acknowledged their attraction for each other, to themselves. Much less, admitted it to each other or acted on it. I can see how the slow build up could turn some people off, but the anticipation is so delicious to me.
More of Finn's books…
“When the power of the shift rips the human body apart and transforms it into its new shape, there lives a second, less than a second, a mere shimmer of time when the mind is without a home, no body to call its own. Existence is painless in there, nothing but formlessness beyond understanding. A secret place, it contains nothing but the essence of self, a lost self. In the fire of pain, Colton found a whisper of that place, its ghost, its echo, and from that echo he withdrew a thread of deepest black.”
Finn Marlowe, A Thread of Deepest Black

“Totally drained he could only manage one but he made it a good one tongue included. “Delicious ” he murmured.
“So depraved ” Colton muttered.
“Thank you.”
“Get off me.”
“Mine ”
“Stings.”
“Boohoo.”
Finn Marlowe, A Thread of Deepest Black

“Impressive," Court offered, gallantly bending to retrieve the shoe. "You should join the theater."
"Fuck you."
"I owed you that."
"Revenge is a dish best served with a side of handcuffs and a hard ass-fucking. Remember that."
Really is a dirty fighter. Goddamn.
Finn Marlowe, Forever in One Second

Topics Mentioning This Author

“Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing.”
Arundhati Roy

“It is better to remain silent at the risk of being thought a fool, than to talk and remove all doubt of it.”
Maurice Switzer

“Parting is such a sweet sorrow that I shall say goodnight till it be morrow.”
William Shakespeare

“Perhaps, after all, romance did not come into one’s life with pomp and blare, like a gay knight riding down; perhaps it crept to one’s side like an old friend through quiet ways; perhaps it revealed itself in seeming prose, until some sudden shaft of illumination flung athwart its pages betrayed the rhythm and the music; perhaps . . . perhaps . . . love unfolded naturally out of a beautiful friendship, as a golden-hearted rose slipping from its green sheath.”
L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Avonlea

“He shifted over without comment, lifting the blankets, and I scrambled into the warm sheets beside him. He smelled like soap and sleep and bare skin. He smelled familiar. Not the deja vu familiar of Guy or Mel. Familiar like...the ache in your chest of homesickness, of longing for harbor after weeks of rough seas or craving a fire's warmth after snow--or wanting back something you should never have given away.”
