About this author

At a very young age, Emma engrossed herself in stories of fantasy and mystery. Stories such as such as Jack and The Beanstalk, Peter Pan, and the Grimm Fairytales captured her attention and sent her into daydreams of other worlds with horrible obstacles that needed to be overcome. She couldn’t get enough mystery and adventure as she read about characters with strength and wit that could change their worlds under incredible circumstances. They were given magic or advice that helped them through their challenges, and Emma easily saw how this courage could be related to every day life, as she dreamt of courageous and adventurous ways out of her own obstacles in life. She seemed to be attracted to films with horror and excitement, suspense and...more

I recently finished my spring semester at film school, and I am happy to say that my first real film project is complete! And I am here to show it to you today...enjoy! Those of you who have shot on 16mm will appreciate the extreme and difficult work that went into this tiny little film :)

Emma Curious to know how many of my friends and fans are into comic books? I am working on a project right now for a comic book that I am also tempted to write as a series of short novellas and am really excited about it. I have a comic book artist that I am working with now and he is incredible! I may be tempted to show you all some of the work as we progress. Let me know your thoughts. Also, how many of you who have read Propheticus would be interested to see it in comic book form?

Emma I haven't had any time to read. Now with film school and all that underway...ugh, I feel so inadequate. I get to work on some super cool stuff though, including learning how to write my next project as a screenplay at the same time as the novel. Wahoo!

Joyce,

I still have yet to finish it. I just can't get myself to do it when I have limited time as a writer. I don't know if I will ever get to finish it because now I know how the story ends; I conjured my sister into telling me, but I sort of got sidetracked with duties and haven't found the deep desire to go back and finish it. It starts to get a little too gory and bloody and sad for me. Although, If I had just a little more time, I would love to finish it. I do get sidetracked easily and loose interest in a story if there is nothing there to keep me hooked. I will forever sort of worship Suzanne Collins as a writer though, I think she came up with an incredible story and her writing is to be looked up to. If you get to reading it, let me know your thoughts--that is if you haven't already finished it. Thanks.

Emma Daley
And the pleasure is all mine :)

Joyce Geyskens Hi, Emma!

A while ago I read somewhere that you were having some trouble with finishing 'The Hunger Games' Series, and I was wondering if you had finished them by now. If you did, what were your thoughts about the series in the end?

Joyce

P.S. Thanks for the friend request!
