About this author

Smoky Trudeau Zeidel is the author of three novels, Redeeming GraceThe Cabin, and The Storyteller's Bracelet ; Short Story Collection Vol.1 ; and two nonfiction books: Smoky's Writer's Workshop Combo Set, based on her popular writing workshops, and Observations of an Earth Mage, an enchanting collection of prose, poetry, and photographs celebrating the beauty and splendor of the natural world. She and her husband, Scott Zeidel, recently co-authored a book, Trails . All her books are published by Vanilla Heart Publishing.

She is author of numerous short stories that are available in eBook format, as well as her recent biographical In a Flash, where she recounts the story of how she was struck by lightning and how the experience has affected...more


Today we trek back up the mountain, along the Angeles Crest Highway. The road is now open from La Canada Flintridge all the way to Wrightwood, beyond the alpine meadow with the tiny lupine cap, beyond the “Bighorn Sheep Area” sign without a sheep in sight, beyond the elusive Pacific Crest Trail egress.
