about this author
James King was raised in Lakewood, Ohio, the sixth of nine children. He wrote his first novel after graduating from the University of Notre Dame. When that novel didn't sell, he set out for Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, working and backpacking while gathering ideas for new stories. In 1983, he moved to the East Coast and wrote for a small publishing firm. Later he struck out on his own and became a freelance writer, specializing in corporate communications. During this time, he wrote two additional novels--both unpublished. In 2008, Jim earned his Master's Degree in Writing at Manhattanville College. It was there that he wrote the bulk of BILL WARRINGTON'S LAST CHANCE, which was published by Viking in August, 2010.
