Not once in my life have I found an excuse to be average. When I meet someone new, I either rub them the wrong way, or it's love at first sight. When something new presents itself for me to try, I excel or fail miserably. As a mother, one might describe me as a firm pushover. As an employee, a lazy workhorse.
This is also how I write. Readers seem to have polar reactions to my work. Luckily, most I have spoken with smiles and their hearts-a-flutter, or, if they aren't lovers of romance, they rave about the thorough research and fact, or action and adventure. My life and personality have never been easily pigeon-holed, and I can say with pride that my novels seem to follow.
