About this author

Karen Gammons lives in Northeast Texas with her wonderful husband Troy, and their three children, Caleb, Randi, and Haylee, who are inspirations for some of the characters in her books. Three cats (Zelda, L.K., and Midnight), along with Barney the "squirrel dog," complete the Gammons household. Karen spends her busy days homeschooling her children and, in her spare time, she travels to the different worlds in her mind, taking along her notebook to chronicle her next fantasy adventure.

Well, it's almost spring here in Texas, only 6 more days. I think I have been ready for spring for quite a while now. I liked winter this year though, I guess because it seemed to go by so fast. I didn't get the normal,"winter blues", like I do most years, where I become couch vegetation and wear jogging pants most of the time. I actually got out and did stuff.
