OK for the description of the Doctor's first (?) mescaline trip. The rest is disposable.

Serviceable prose with more than a whiff of Ender's Game and other juvenile boy's wish-fulfillment books, even though the author and protagonist are women.

Entertaining memoir-like book, a little thin in the 'what's the meaning of it all' department, or it might rate higher.
