Description:
Enslaved during the invasion of the rival King of Herra, Micah cut off his emotions and adapted to his new life in servitude. Xerxes, the Herran King, abuses his captive to keep the neighboring kingdom of Alekia under his yoke, but after Micah nearly dies when plague sweeps Herra, the Alekian King sends Eli to bring his beloved son home.
Institutionalized by his slavery, unable to cope with his freedom, Micah seeks to please the new master he’s found in Eli throughout their harrowing journey to a homeland he no longer remembers. Eli protects the young man and introduces Micah to the pleasures denied him as a prisoner.
Will Micah accept his noble birthright when they reach Alekia and more importantly, can he accept Eli as the devoted slave his father has given him rather than the master he’s come to love?

“I won’t run.” Gabriel gulped. “I promise.”
“You aren’t being punished; you’re being protected.” Cal snorted. “But you’ll run. When you’re scared or hurt, your first instinct is to run. You can’t help it any more than I can resist chasing you.” The shifter leaned to brush his mouth over Gabriel’s. “Be smart, pet. Run to me.”

{Elliot} blinked when a blade speared neatly through the master's chest from the rear. "Got him," Garrick shouted over the master's shoulder. "Set, Elliot."
Set what?
He didn't care.
He channeled his rage and pierced the dark master through, impaling him on his blade.
Garrick slid his free.
Malachi yanked him down a split second before Garrick's sword severed his head as well as the dark master's. Chest heaving, he sprawled in the dust, blinking at the fuzzy image of the head bouncing across the floor. It came to rest at the bottom spoke of a crumbling ladder, the vampyr's teeth still gnashing.
His new partner dragged him upright and, looking in his eyes, squeezed his shoulder. "Set means your blade will set the enemy for your partner's killing blow" Malachi grinned at him, chuckled. "It also means duck.”

You recommended a book to me a long time ago, and I just wanted to let you know that after months of bitching I finished it. LOVED IT! Thanks Kari!

Woo hoo, Lauren! Glad you liked IO. :DIO's going to have a sequel, yes, but the idea for it is still cooking in my brain. It's not ready yet.
Thanks for the friendship. I now have all your books listed in my "to-read" folder. I loved I, Omega!!!
Any chance of a series??? LOL :)

I'll have to look for that one next. Damn, I love the cheesy horror flicks. LOL

Yeah, the collect-friends-at-any-cost thing happens a lot. I personally don't see the point. A lot of work, sending a gazillion friend requests to people who share zero interests w/ me...why? I'd rather focus time & energy on the writers & readers I do actually have something to talk about with. Go figure. LOL
Hi Kari - thanks for friending me here! :DAnd I ask that question because I was getting all sorts of friend requests from people who seemed to have no interest whatsoever in m/m fiction. Really, what would be the point of them friending me? I think they're just collecting numbers.
Taylor wrote: "Really? That's interesting! Care to tell me why?? LOL"Because I was buried in setting my writerly self up, LOL. Plus, I was also prepping 2 other books for release...Actually, I'm prepping 2 more books this time too (he he he), but it's not like I have to go put up a website, open a business-only bank account or whatnot. So I can have more fun with it. Woot!
Taylor wrote: "Happy Release Date! Here's to the hotness of I Omega :-D"Thanks, Taylor! God as my witness, I wasn't this excited over my first book releasing, LOL
LOL -- CAS, you are too too clever for a Friday that until now was bursting with #fail. Isn't the notebook TO DIE FOR??? Needs me some more of those. :D
Lovely Wicked slave! Master is MOST pleased with you! I have recieved the Spoils of War, and What Rough Beast would I be to not praise you publicly for your eagerness to please your new Master?
YOU are the BEST slave EVAH! :)
Thanks Kari!!!!You do GOOD work slave.. Awesome even.... :)
Happy Mother's Day.

PS.. don't be tryin to "bump" this down.. I will just repost it! ;)
Bugger! I'm always late to the party. Did you save any beer for me? I'll bring my own lampshade. ;-p

Scroll past What You Want Version 2 to download/listen to What You Want.
My DH wanted the music from the LW book trailer for the car. ;-)
Hey Kari - Looks like Movie Maker is PC-based. I'm on a MAC. But, went surfing through my applications and found iMovie. It came pre-installed, so... looks like I have a new program to learn. Yay.And PUH-LEEZE! Your videos rocked. I loved the music for Spoils of War - haunting, mysterious... It really set the tone perfectly. I'm bummed I can't find the music on Lovely Wicked on iTunes - but Sam's hot, so its all good. :-)
If you don't already have Movie Maker, download it! It's very intuitive. If you know how to work with images, you should be able to pick up MM right away and you know how to manipulate images, which means you have the foundation skills to pull of something truly spectacular with a book trailer.Try not to be too unimpressed with mine...2 books coming out so close together and me scrambling to set my writerly self up, I didn't have time to play with my stock images like I wanted. Still, I don't think I did too badly given the time crunch.
Nope, I haven't tried making one of those yet. I don't even have the first clue how to go about it. ;-) I'm going to go check yours out right now though...
This is my first try at a cover, LC. Have you tried making book trailers yet? Those are so fun, should be illegal.
You're not wrong, I did the triple. I actually did seven in total - had to call in friends to help me narrow it down to three. ;-)I LOVE playing with cover ideas! I have mock covers done for all my WIPs. They keep me going. :)
Yeah, Josh's idea to have the contest was brilliant great fun. You did the mock-ups of the 3 together, right? Or am I wrong? Regardless, I thought they were very cool. I think I may be in the minority, but I liked the first one best. :D
