I write, read, blog, teach, cook, make soap, try not to yell at my five children too much, pretend I'm a runner when I'm just a shuffler, dance a lot (and embarass the five children), and then I write some more.

I spend too many sleepless nights blogging as a slightly Demented Domestic Goddess over at Sleepless in Samoa...There's several books floating around out there in the universe with my name on them and hopefully, if I stop dancing and reading and blogging and soapmaking long enough - I will finish some more books and send them out into the universe.

One is another book in the Telesa Series that follows a few of the characters ten years after the end of the Bone Bearer. The other is a contemporary romantic comedy - no fantasy or paranormal elements, just lots of romance and fun and too many wedding dresses!(less)

There's a massive shipping container parked outside my house. We're packing. It's really happening...we're moving back to Samoa. And as I shift through piles of junk, sorting the useful from the useless, the reality of what we're doing is slowly starting to sink in. Along with a bit of apprehension. Because even though moving home was my idea (but cleverly dressed up and presented to the family... Read more of this blog post »

“You don't love someone because they're a dream of perfection. You love them because of the way they meet their challenges, how they struggle to overcome. You love them because together, you bring out the best in each other.”

“His fingers painted my skin with ruby red patterns of desire. In Keahi’s kiss I could taste the red burn of chili encrusted in the rich sweetness of melted chocolate. I breathed in his scent and it spoke to me of vanilla. The ink of my malu tattoo began to burn, searing markings of fiery joy.”

Dawyn.S. Hunter Thank you for accepting me. I really enjoyed your Telesa trilogy and had some glimpses of the Samoan history and its legends, and it was awesome how you out that into action and made these awesome books.

Thank you so much for checking out TELESA, Jasmine. Im always particularly thrilled when a "western" / non-Samoan reader enjoys my book because i do worry that the emphasis on the setting of Samoa will make the story difficult for western readers to relate to. The Pacific cultures do have a lot of rich mythology which make for great 're-interpreting' and storytelling! I hope you daughter enjoys the read as well.

☺~Tina~☺ Thanks for the friend invite. Your welcome on the checking out the book, it was great. I can't wait for When Water Burns!

Douglas Wickard Lani, thanks for your friendship on Goodreads!

Melissa Thanks for the friend request! I know that it's an impossible question to answer -- not sure that I could pick just one favourite myself! But I've read some great books based on other people's all-time favourites, so I'm keeping the question =)

Looking forward to sharing books with you!
