About this author

After moving around a bit as a kid, Gordon's family finally settled in Peoria, Illinois, where he attended Washington Elementary School, Peoria High School, and Bradley University, where he had a double-major in Art (Drawing & Graphic Design) and English (Writing).

After a few years of not-much, he moved to Chicago. He has worked as a children's book designer, regular book designer, print production specialist, photo retoucher, and illustrator, but he just wishes he could draw comics all the time.

Epipheo spoke with Daniel H. Wilson — Robotics PhD and author of Robopocalypse — to find out how to survive the inevitable robopocalypse, and the result was a very funny animated short.

Relevant: Steven Spielberg will start shooting the film adaptation of Robopocalypse this summer in Montreal. The film is targeting a July 2013 release.

Stuck Rubber Baby is simply one of the finest graphic novels there is. Cruse's linework make me so incredibly jealous, and he is a master storyteller. If there is a graphic novels canon, Stuck Rubber Baby deserves to be in it.

Gorgeous art and brilliant, filmic storytelling. It's a shame that this book isn't better known in the US.
