About this author

I formerly authored biographies of Albert Salmi, Peggy Ann Garner, Pat Buttram, and Lloyd Nolan, while also collaborating with retired actor Wright King on "No Retakes!" about the era of live television. Now my publisher has hired me as his secretary/production manager, so my time is spent helping other BearManor Media authors while their books are in production.

Hi, folks. Publisher BearManor Media often has books that help in our research because entertainment of yesteryear is their specialty. They bring out books that are biographies, era retrospectives, TV show and movie analysis, etc. You're very welcome to join their e-group at http://groups.google.com/group/bearmanor, if you wish.

I loved it. Want to know why it took me so long to read it? It's because I had it on my nightstand and did my reading before going to sleep at night. That's a really slow way to read, but at least Fred's book put me in a happy mood, which is a good w ...more

What a delightful book! Until reading it, I didn't realize what a great sense of humor Betty has and how kindly she speaks of others. I love autobiographies like this. Betty is such an accomplished lady!
