Corporate journalist Judah Lee Davis hopes to make waves in the world of fiction with her sassy trilogy about a southern girl’s search for loving (or something similar) in a sleepy, Bible Belt town.

These bad girl bibles of what not to do, She Tells All, Every Woman’s Hero and The Diary of Dion were inspired by a hilarious collage of ideas and characters that could only come from a lifetime of living in Southern Alabama.

Contrasting raunchy humor with Pentecostal undertones, Davis offends some while enchanting others.

Kell Smurthwaite at BCB Reviews says, “Self-published novels often get looked down upon by the “why couldn’t they get published by a real publisher” brigade, but every now and then, you get a little gem that sparkles and stands out from the rubble, refusing to be tarred with that brush. This is one of them.”
Alexandria Vail of Chicklitclub.com gave it 8/10 stars, saying, “This kept me laughing and at some points on the verge of tears. It’s a book with a life lesson, and a lot of humor with a little vulgarity – in a good way.”

Davis is currently working on her next series titled If God was from the South, where she will re-write the Bible as if it actually took place in the Bible Belt. God drives a black Dodge Challenger. Esau loses his birthright over a D.U.I. The Ten Commandments start with Y’all shall not … etc.

“It’s actually an educational satire. I’m not making fun of the Bible. I’m simply presenting it in a way that’s fun loving and accessible to people who aren’t particularly intellectual (such as myself.)”

Davis is married (finally), and resides with her husband and two children in a place that is so remote she has to go to the outhouse to get cell phone reception. She is a cat lover. She has been to known to eat an entire pan of cookies by herself (on accident, of course), and she enjoys watching the same Family Guy episodes over and over. There’s just something about that talking baby that she finds so funny …
