I know a lot of you have been waiting a long time for this book. And it’s way, way overdue. And for that, I sincerely apologize. This was the most difficult book I have ever written. The first draft was actually finished a year ago and I’ve been working on the rewrite since January! Like Turesobei’s relationship with every girl he knows, the story was difficult and complicated. I also had to de...

Description: He thought he was a hero. She showed him the truth. Now he'll do anything to stop the man who made him a monster. For twenty years Jaska Bavadi has faithfully served the Palymfar Order and its Grandmaster, the powerful wizard Salahn, but an encounter with Zyrella Anthari, last high priestess of the White Tigress, shatters the spell that chained Jaska's mind. Now faced with the horrors he unknowingly committed against people he swore to protect, Jaska must put Salahn's reign of cruelty to an end. Together, he and Zyrella race to save the White Tigress and stop Salahn from opening the Gates of the Underworld. An army of palymfar warriors stands in their way, but the dangerous secrets that cloud their destinies threaten to doom them first. In the tradition of Brent Weeks, Jennifer Fallon, Michael Moorcock, Jacqueline Carey, and David Gemmell, Wrath of the White Tigress delivers a thrilling tale heroic fantasy fans will love.

Description: Turesobei dreamed of adventure, a way to prove he was no longer a child. Wizards should be careful what they wish for. Destined to become his clan's next high wizard, studious Turesobei has constantly struggled to live up to other people's demands and expectations, but now he's had enough. When his treasure-hunting father arrives with important news to discuss with the current high wizard, Turesobei spies on their secret meeting and accidentally foils an assassination attempt. As a reward his father invites him on an expedition to find an artifact known as the Storm Dragon's Heart. But when disaster strikes, their quest becomes a race for survival. Aided by a sassy ninja cat-girl and a mysterious diary that transforms into a winged familiar, Turesobei must face deadly cultists, vengeful spirits, and a mad wizard from a rival clan who's determined to use the artifact to destroy Turesobei's homeland. The Storm Dragon's Heart will delight readers with a thrilling tale of exotic lands, mystical creatures, forbidden love, and fast-paced adventure. (Ages 10 and up)

Forbidden System by David Alastair Hayden
"A great new book by one of my favourite authors, Forbidden System is a great start to a new Sci-Fi series. It's a Star Trek meets Indiana Jones world, with a lot of cool tech. The story alternates between POV of two interesting characters, an arch..." Read more of this review »
The First Kaiaru by David Alastair Hayden
"This is the best book in the series up till now. A lot fast paced action and less drama (just as I like it). Truesobei and gang go to the realms to retrieve the heart stones while Shoma discovers her own destiny. The shocking truth about the Kaiar..." Read more of this review »

David Sedaris
“When forced to leave my house for an extended period of time, I take my typewriter with me, and together we endure the wretchedness of passing through the X-ray scanner. The laptops roll merrily down the belt, while I’m instructed to stand aside and open my bag. To me it seems like a normal enough thing to be carrying, but the typewriter’s declining popularity arouses suspicion and I wind up eliciting the sort of reaction one might expect when traveling with a cannon.

It’s a typewriter,’ I say. ‘You use it to write angry letters to airport security.”
David Sedaris

Megan Whalen Turner
“I hate horses. I know people who think that they are noble, graceful animals, but regardless of what a horse looks like from a distance, never forget that it's as likely to step on your foot as look at you.”
Megan Whalen Turner, The Thief

Neil deGrasse Tyson
“The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it.”
Neil deGrasse Tyson

Jack Gilbert
“The water nymphs who came to Poseidon
explained how little they desired to couple
with the gods. Except to find out
whether it was different, whether there was
a fresh world, another dimension in their loins.
In the old Pittsburgh, we dreamed of a city
where women read Proust in the original French,
and wondered whether we would cross over
into a different joy if we paid a call girl
a thousand dollars for a night. Or an hour.
Would it be different in kind or only
tricks and apparatus? I worried that a great
love might make everything else an exile.
It turned out that being together
at twilight in the olive groves of Umbria
did, indeed, measure everything after that.”
Jack Gilbert, The Dance Most of All: Poems
