The Night Walk Men was able to hook me in, in one of the strangest ways a book can. It's a novella written for the most part in the 2nd person point of view. This is a MAJOR turn off for me. I don't like being talked at from what I'm reading. But...

I loved this book. The Night Walk Men is seriously one of the more conflicted stories Ive read. It is fast paced while telling an age old story. It is seriously dark, with a goth/comic book feel to it, yet some of the most beautifully written line...

Awww! I wish I could help you out but I don't own an e-reader and I've never used one. Best of luck, though, Laurie. If you like SHED, I can send you another story. I should mention that BLED actually comes first in the series but you can read these two out of order. Later, as I write more of them, I suspect they'll need to be read more in order, but these two make sense if read independently. :)
I hope you have a wonderful New Year too! And good luck with the e-reader!

Thanks for accepting my friend request, Jason. You seem like an interesting person, as well as quite the prolific and accomplished author, so feel free to tell me more about yourself and perhaps we can grow to become even greater friends. I, myself, am a singer/songwriter/actor who has recently turned author. My 2 top ten recordings were CONCRETE & CLAY (as a singer) and NAVY BLUE (as a writer)...both in the early 1960's. My first novel is an unusual murder mystery entitled: FORBIDDEN STEPS. It's getting raves on Amazon. So I'm excited.Regards, and have a great day, Ed

Best and most entertaining? I'll take that as a sincere compliment. Thanks! And thanks also for your friendship. I look forward to "bumping" into you around here.
Hello there, new friend! Yours is quite possibly the best (and most entertaining) response to my friending questions, so I thank you for that. :) Take care, man!
Caley wrote: "Love to hear from another King fan! I think if you weren't introduced to Shirley Jackson in school, you were very much deprived of a great one."That is a good point! But I went to school in a rough neighbourhood. Many of my classmates are now in jail or...well...toast. I doubt very much some of them would remember "The Lottery" and its subtextual implications on their lives.
Thanks, Caley, for calling me a friend! I look forward to catching up with your reading habits and seeing what you're up to! j. //
Haha! Maybe one of your books! If you want to leave a post on my blog with a silly example of Freeman narrating a moment in your life, I'd happily give you a copy of one of my stories! Cheers! j. //
haha, no, I really didn't think you were in the witness protection program or anything! But I do appreciate us connecting here. I see that you use the Facebook doodad thingy -- maybe one of these days I'll get on "The Facebook" as it used to be called. Yep. That's how old I am. :-)
Hello Jason! :)Thank you for the friend request.
By the way I don't have anything to hide ;D
Have a nice day,
Vanessa
And thank YOU for accepting my offer. So cool that you're willing to check out my book. I saw that you added it and that is excellent. I do hope that if you get around to reading it that you might care to share your thoughts on it with me some day. Cheers, Vanessa! j. //
Hi Jason! Thanks for adding me. You're right I like strong female characters and I'll be happy to check out your debut novel. Good luck and happy read as well.
