Awww! I wish I could help you out but I don't own an e-reader and I've never used one. Best of luck, though, Laurie. If you like SHED, I can send you another story. I should mention that BLED actually comes first in the series but you can read these two out of order. Later, as I write more of them, I suspect they'll need to be read more in order, but these two make sense if read independently. :)

I hope you have a wonderful New Year too! And good luck with the e-reader!

Ed Rambeau Thanks for accepting my friend request, Jason. You seem like an interesting person, as well as quite the prolific and accomplished author, so feel free to tell me more about yourself and perhaps we can grow to become even greater friends. I, myself, am a singer/songwriter/actor who has recently turned author. My 2 top ten recordings were CONCRETE & CLAY (as a singer) and NAVY BLUE (as a writer)...both in the early 1960's. My first novel is an unusual murder mystery entitled: FORBIDDEN STEPS. It's getting raves on Amazon. So I'm excited.

Regards, and have a great day, Ed

That is a good point! But I went to school in a rough neighbourhood. Many of my classmates are now in jail or...well...toast. I doubt very much some of them would remember "The Lottery" and its subtextual implications on their lives.

Thanks, Caley, for calling me a friend! I look forward to catching up with your reading habits and seeing what you're up to! j. //
