COUGAR centers on three 45-year-old friends from St. Louis who reconnect when each hits turbulence in mid-life.

On the personal front, Susan calls herself an “Accidental Cougar” after meeting a younger man in 2005 when she was a St. Louis Magazine Top Single. They were married in February 2008 and live happily ever after.

Susan penned THE DEBS young adult series (Random House/Delcorate), which features four prep school seniors in Houston, Texas, during their debutante season. LOVE, LIES & TEXAS DIPS followed in June of 2009 and GLOVES OFF is in publishing limbo. She has also written five Debutante Dropout Mysteries (HarperCollins/Avon), including BLUE BLOOD, THE GOOD GIRL’S GUIDE TO MURDER, THE LONE STAR LONELY HEARTS CLUB, NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEB, and TOO PRETTY TO DIE.

Susan's Debutante Dropout books have won a Lefty Award for Best Humorous Mystery and a Romantic Times Magazine Reviewers' Choice Award for Best Amateur Sleuth Mystery, as well as garnering two Anthony Award nominations and being one of three finalists for the William Rockhill Nelson Awards.
