About this author

I was born in a little antiquated medical clinic on Main Street of a small Alabama town, grew up in the backwoods of 1950s rural Alabama, and learned every precious thing I know from the mountain folks who made up my family and community, and the animals who were our constant companions. I began writing at an early age and can't stop.

Currently, I'm hard at work on Book Two, The Witches of Moonlight Ridge, the sequel to Sweet Music on Moonlight Ridge. I had hoped to have it finished much earlier, but now I'm so glad I took my time. The story would never have been what it is now if I had rushed. Hope to have it done in 2015. My publisher will be relieved!

My poetry and short stories and my book, Sweet Music on Moonlight Ridge, evoke an emotional response from the reader, and create a common ground for communication and sharing. I love the feedback I get from readers.(less)

I've read a lot of manuscripts where the idea was good but the actual writing is frustrating to try to read. Make sure every sentence actually says what you intended it to say.(less)
